Build Your Own Salad Bar: Come and join me in the garden for a “lesson in lettuce” and create your very own salad bar! You will learn all about growing salad greens for your kitchen garden, including choosing the variety that is right for you and your outdoor space, soil mixing, seeding, troubleshooting, watering and harvest! You will learn how to keep a continuous harvest through the season, and everyone goes home with a beautiful planter full of ready-to-cut lettuce!
Edible Garden Tour: Are you curious about Food Gardening? Not quite ready to jump in with both feet, but would like to find out more about what’s involved? Join me in the garden for a tour! I’ll walk you through the types of edible plants I grow here and discuss the seed to table process. From summer squash to high bush blueberries, I can help you decide which crops would be best for you to start with, and what you’ll need to get growing. The perfect way to spend some time outdoors and get all of your food gardening questions answered!
Home Herb Garden: Do you love fresh herbs? Use them regularly for cooking? Then this workshop is for you! We will discuss all aspects of growing your herbs at home, including starting from seed, buying starts and transplanting, ongoing care, troubleshooting, harvest and preservation! You will learn all that you need to create a beautiful collection of herbs this season for your kitchen garden, and go home with a starter collection for your outdoor space!
